COUPLES DOJO
DĹŤjĹŤ: a place for immersive or experiential learning
When we look back on our decade of marriage, the thing we wish we’d had— the thing that would have made the biggest difference— was a space to be held alongside other couples.
A space to…
- Connect with others walking the path of sacred partnership
- Share and be witnessed in the challenges
- Tell the truth and be met with reflection and support
- Rise into our highest potential with like-minded brothers and sisters
The truth is: isolation is one of the most damaging forces in a relationship.
It’s unnatural and unhealthy to be siphoned off into nuclear families, left to navigate the challenges and intensity of partnership without a village.
Maybe you have community, but it’s mostly surface-level. Deep down you long for more, and no one really knows what's going on beneath the surface.
And the occasional session with a therapist or coach? It helps, but it’s nowhere near enough.
Most couples are silently struggling.
We hide what’s really happening because we’re afraid…
- Afraid of what people will think
- Afraid our struggles are unique
- Afraid our friends will judge us— or judge our partner
We compare ourselves to the curated images of “happy couples” online and wonder if something is wrong with us.
Meanwhile, everywhere we look, relationships are falling apart, families are struggling, sustaining and thriving in a partnership feels harder than ever.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Sacred partnership can be one of the most powerful containers for transformation on this planet— if you know how to work with it.
It’s time to move beyond shame, fear, and isolation into real connection, truth, and love.
We’re exploring turning this into an ongoing series for couples who want to gather regularly, deepen together, and be supported over time. If there’s enough interest, these gatherings will become the first of many.
Because if you’re anything like us, you’re not here for a low-grade, domestic-hell relationship.
You care about legacy, about real impact and intimacy, about giving your children something different than what you received.
You want a partnership, and a life that feels meaningful, alive, and truly fulfilling.
Join us to reclaim that possibility– for yourselves, your relationship, and your family.Â
We have virtual and in-person options so location doesn’t have to be a barrier.
Dates:Â
Virtual: Saturday January 10th, 12-2pm CT
In-Person in Austin: Saturday January 17th, 1-4pm CT
This is a space to begin walking the path from:
Fear → Trust
Control → Surrender
Isolation → Real connection
About the facilitators
Robert and Ellie Montgomerie are husband and wife of nearly a decade, parents of two, and devoted students of relationship as a path of initiation and transformation. Through their own lived experience– navigating love, leadership, rupture, repair, parenthood, and purpose– they’ve come to see sacred partnership not as something to “get right,” but as a living practice that requires truth, courage, and community.
Rob brings over 20 years of experience working as an executive coach and leadership consultant inside companies and leadership teams, guiding men into integrity, responsibility, and grounded leadership– work that now finds deeper expression through The King’s Code.
Ellie has spent the last decade walking alongside women through the initiations of relationship, restoring relational wisdom and devotion in modern times.
Together, they are committed to building villages that can actually hold families, and to supporting couples in creating partnerships, and lives, worthy of the legacy they hope to leave.
